The Trap = Heavy Rain: The Movie???

Very much in this film reminded me of Heavy Rain (the Playstation 3 adventure video game), including the noir style, the disintegration of family following tragedy, and the high tension adventure elements, not to mention the protagonist father has a style very similar to that of Ethan (the protagonist father of Heavy Rain). If anything, it appears the Heavy Rain writer(s) may have seen this film and based the “drug dealer” challenge in the game on this movie, as in that chapter of the game the father is given a gun and the option to shoot a man he doesn’t know in order to save his own son's life (sounds familiar, doesn’t it?)

@mikamage: That is a very good observation. I really enjoyed playing Heavy Rain and can see the parallel in the scene that you mentioned. Both the movie and the game reflect reality in a surreal way.
