It is not a direct sequel. They use some of the same actors, but the two films (Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner and The Journals of Knud Rasmussen) take place in different eras.

Atanarjuat takes place in a mythical time when Inuit were free in spirit. JKR takes place in 1922 when Inuit were first exposed to 'white' men.

Look forward to "Before Tomorrow", Isuma Production's next feature film which is being shot on location right now!

Not "White men", per se, but more Christianity.
