Film crew caught in gun clash

December 18 - TWO Australian actors and a film crew working on location in the Philippines have been caught in crossfire between feuding groups. Actor Kelly Atkinson and a film crew were filming a scene on the island of Mindanao when sudden machine-gun fire broke out. No one was injured in the incident.

Voodoo Lagoon is the only film currently in production casting Kelly Atkinson and is on location on an island. The above news item did not mention the name of the project so I am merely speculating. Perhaps someone else has more news.

Thank Mick; interesting information. As far as I know (and according to the Australia Film Commission and Pacific Television and Film newsletters) Voodoo Lagoon was filmed entirely in Queensland, Australia (around the Gold Coast). The film currently is in post-production (principal photography has been completed).

If I can find out more information for you (or if anyone can) I sure hope they post.

As far as I know filming finished several months ago. I have a friend, Lincoln Lewis, in the film and he told me a while ago that it was finished up. However, they might have been refilming some scenes, thats always a possibility.

But not in the Phillipines. The films fiscal initiative was for Queensland, Australia. According to the Pacific Film Commission Flyer (PFCF) filming has ended.
