I remember when this *beep* first came out and all the brosephs were so obsessed with Rogen, Hill, and their brand of comedy that this was rated in the high 8's the first couple of years.
Glad to see people came to their senses.
It should be even lower. 7.1 is way too high for this overrated unfunny movie.

More seriously though, most people like this movie, why do you guys care? You say it's mainly the 'bro dudes' type who like this but the critic average is 85 (which is insanely high), with many giving it 100. It was a worldwide hit if I remember right...
Most movies go down in rating over time. That's because a broader audience gets to see it. Initially only people that are very excited about the genre, actors, directors etc. will see it and naturally, ratings will be higher.
So, that has nothing to do with people "coming to their senses".
