I almost dread watching this movie again, but I have to to even know whether I like it. There is just too much to take in. Boy seemed very unhappy all the time. Seemed to always be thinking about every damn thing too much. Too much introspection can ruin childhood and adulthood.
shareGets better with repeated viewings. Also, include subtitles...what the "random whisperings" are...are the characters questions to God.
The movie is about family...parental expectations...and a way of life that is past our time, unfortunately...heartwarming film.
