This film is a masterpiece. Pure art.

The editing, cinematography and music are so beautifully done. It makes me feel so nostalgic whenever I watch it.

It feels almost like a dream. The way the camera is almost like a personal diary for the characters, which makes you feel like you're right there sharing their adventures, their ups, downs, etc. It had a real hypnotic quality to it even though it was a realistic set up, unlike the films of David Lynch for example

Well-said, and poignant. Dream-like quality which to me, has never been equaled. Might be one of the greatest films of all time. In a way, glad that others aren't all over it...but it's there for a select few. Not unlike the book, The Little Prince, which speaks in conspiracy to its readers.

I liked it. Like 2001, I can't say I've taken it all in yet.

I believe the nostalgic feeling is so key in this film. As an adult, you don't remember your childhood in perfect sequence, and you will jump back and forth chronologically to important times of your life. As this is a semi-autobiographical film, i believe that it exactly what Malick was trying to implement in the viewers as he was looking back to some major turning points in his life that made him the man he is.
