I liked it!

I was expecting something horrible based on most of the reviews here, but this movie is unique. Dare I say, it's a "charming" little horror movie.

I loved the look and feel of this film. It sort of felt like an R rated version of a "Faerie Tale Theater" episode. It's got a unique visual style which befits its budget and gives it an almost animated feel. The characters were unique, the kills were clever, and there were some funny lines throughout the movie as well.

This movie isn't gonna scare anybody, but I don't think it's meant to. It's almost satirical. You have to accept it for what it is and you will enjoy it much better than if you go into it expecting another Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I certainly wouldn't rate this as low as it's rated on here. There are some crappy horror movies worthy of 2 ratings, but this isn't one of them. I just finished watching Sweet Insanity and Dream Home. If you guys want terrible acting and cheap looking movies with zero creativity, watch those. Then go back and watch Small Town Folk right after them. This movie has everything those movies don't, and they are rated in the 2s. So there is no way this movie is deserving of a rating that low. Small Town Folk is a 10 compared to those movies, and I mean that in all sincerity.

Overall, as it stands on its own merit, I'd give this movie a 4/10. Def worth watching if you're looking for something a little different.
