There will always be negative comments from people who see a cheaply made british film and think "oh god im turning this crap off" I know because thats exactly what i thought 5 mins in,then I thought i would give it the benefit of the doubt .Give this film a chance if you ever get see it.Yes it looks cheap but dont forget it only cost 4 grand to make so what do you expect?? It took them four years to make...i call that commitment and love for the project which in my opinion shines all the way through.
I watch so many horror film and most of the time i couldnt care less weather any of the cast lives or dies,but at the end of this film i just kept thinking that these guys had made it this far so please dont let them get hacked up now.
I thought the character of Marcus was great and his lines were brilliant,especially the part where he reels off all the different names for pikes.I liked the starwars and Indy subtle references too.I also like the way the film was shot,the hazy dream like sky just added to the fantasy and nightmarish qualities of this film.
All in all I enjoyed this film as a first attempt,the acting was good and I liked the humour.I just hope it will get some kind of a release.I would buy this on DVD and im sure others would like it too,this film could drum up a cult following if it had the chance.
So go on people slag this film to death,but ask yourself...could i do any better on 4 grand?? do i have the skill to make a half decent film?? do i have 4 years worth of commitment?? I wish i did and i bet you wish you had too!!
So give these guys a break,we should encourage not slag them off!!!!

I agree with you, I've read some comments and the general opinion's that this movie is crap. Well, I think it was an original movie, the acting wasn't the best but the stage-setting (is that a word?) was really awesome. And I loved the characters, effing sweet! ^^ 6½/10 by me ;)

This movie is fun. And inventive. And stylish. And has a great soundtrack. And the acting is awesome.

Good film. The fake/animated/painted backgrounds added a nice touch. Made it like a dark comic book film. When they went to real action shots in the woods, this effect was lost and the film suffered because of it. Some of the acting was great, some was poor, but most was at least good enough.

I would say the comedy was laid on a bit to thick with the "locals", but generally a great job on no budget. If they'd managed to keep the contrast between fake landsacpe and actors a bit more it would have been better.

I also dug the gnarly stylized look of this film; it seemed to be taking place in some nightmarish fantasy world.
