Please, what's with the 2.2 rating?
I have written IMDB twice about this. They have answered once repeating IMDB's explanation of weighted average which I understand. The problem is this movie had a weighted average of above 7 for at least 6 months (due to film festivals) before it was released to theaters. And then suddenly, on the weekend before it was released, every vote over a 3 was invalidated. They just didn't count anymore. I have kept track and since then every positive vote except one has not been added into the average ( and to be fair, I think one "1" was also rejected). What is going on? Anybody who likes the film is suddenly not a person?
I mean I voted for my own film. So if that's a problem, take me off. If there's a problem with the positive votes, what is it? And why did it suddenly happen just BEFORE the weekend it released?
I think very few movies deserve a ten or a one, but this is IMDB. I just want to make sure the rules apply to everyone. I want to make sure if someone votes above a 3 for this movie, they will be counted.
Also it's deceptive to say 39 votes gave the film a 2.2 when only 15 votes were counted.
Thank you for listening.
