This movie wasn't all THAT bad (Possible Spoilers)

I mean, the first portion of it, I thought, was done almost perfectly. If they had just gotten someone a little younger to play Beni and didn't make Ken seem so human and normal (aka his one conversation with Rain where he touches her hand) the beginning was done very well. Even when she got to the Hudsons, I thought Faye Dunnaway played an extremely good "Isabel." My only real complaints were that Jake didn't get enough character development, the woman who played Meghan just couldn't act, and they needed the plot line with Corbette. It didn't even bother me that Brody wasn't there, because he honestly barely had a point in the book. The Corbette part, however, was a major plot line in the story, and I think it was wrongfully cut out because the writer added in that stupid plot line about the gang trying to find Rain. For some reason, this movie sold out to Hollywood in the end, starting off strong and then ending with something no where near VC Andrews.

So it doesnt lead into the other books at all?

It kind of does, actually, because Rain and her Grandmother acknowledged the fact that there was a talent scout at Rain's talent show who would be willing to offer a scholarship to a prestigious school in England. Rain says that she won't make it and her grandmother says she will. Then Rain answers, saying that her grandmother will miss her. It then cuts to the talent show where Rain sings.

So, it could easily lead into the second book, because the moajority of what happened in the first book isn't at all relevant to the second. They would just have to continue saying that Rain sings instead of acts.

The third book may be harder, but really, they would just have to cut out Corbett's five pages, and possibly cut out Brody. If they did this, they could just have Megan slowly growing weaker from her mother's death. They could, however, add in Brody at the end of the second book and show a developing relationship with Rain throughout the third until his untimely death. However, if they make sequels, I find it unlikely that they would include Brody, because the incest plot line may steer viewers away from seeing it.

One more question, sorry to bug you so much, did you read the novella? and how bad is it or how good is it? And whats the main plot in it besides Meghan just getting pregnant with Rain?
