No Brody, no Allison, no Grant, no resemblance to any of the major points in the book. And no, Roy doesn't fall for Rain in this "film". As a matter of fact, they made it a point for Roy to tell Rain that he'll always be her brother. You were never taken inside Rain and Beni's school, which was a major part of the book.

This was horrible, guys. Beyond horrible. I was expecting them to stray from the plot of the book, but not this badly. This makes the FITA movie look dead-on accurate. As if that weren't bad enough, the acting was even worse. I have looked forward to this for so long, I can't even begin to describe how let down I feel right now.

Luckily, Netflix sent it before Amazon shipped - I was able to cancel my order. It's bad enough I wasted 2 hours of my life, I didn't want to waste $20 too.

That's what I thought too, but they have it. I had preordered on Amazon and was given a ship date of early June, but saw it on the Netflix site and got it. Here's a link: http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Rain/70067471?trkid=189530&strkid=1965061408_11_0. Odd, very odd. But then, so is the film.

The reason why they took it out is because it was CREEPY!! hello!

I think that the movie should have kept the storyline with Brody and how he had fallen in love with Rain upon first meeting her. One big aspect of the book was that Rain's half siblings did not know that she was related to them. So when Brody saw her, he fell in love with her, completely unaware that she was his half-sister. The movie was pretty much void of the interesting aspects of the book. I can't believe that the movie never introduced any of her half relations, except for her biological mother and a quick little scene with her mean spirited aunt.
