Has anyone caught the Mew on Faraway Island? I not only caught it (with a master ball since I was afraid of killing it) but I got a shiny (you know, its a different color, kinda like red Gyarados). It took alot of attempts but it was worth it.

shareWhen I got to the island, I saved the game. I kept entering the place where Mew was, catching him when he ran off, I starting over when he wasn't a shiny. It didn't take me as long as I thought it would. Only like a week and somedays. It has a serious nature so all of its stats are normal. I also have a shiny Swampert, and Skarmory. I'm thinking about shooting for another shiny legendary pokemon.

get the EON TICKET then the lady should say "Hey, You got the EON TICKET! where would you like to go?"
Then one of the choices should be FARAWAY ISLAND
But first you need to mix records with someone that has got RUBY/SAPPHIRE that has got the EON TICKET.
