Have you ever played this game as Brendan?

I have because I'm a guy and I prefer playing the hero instead of the heroine...anyway have you noticed that May was kind of timid when she met Brendan for the time? I mean she was stuttering and laughing nervously. I'm not sure why she was timid in the beginning because she certainly didn't stay timid.
