So much hate!

I thought it was a LOT OF fun. Genuinely creepy, gory & scary at times & a great effort!

Not sure why anyone would practically "hate it"...Gimme some reasons please!

Sure, it ain't gonna win no Oscars...but when U watch a low budget movie called "Nightmare Man", you don't go in expecting 'Return of the King'!

I know, dude...this is one of those movies that is ~kinda~bad, but in an extremely fun way

You think this was a GORY & SCARY movie? I like cheap horro fun and bad movies that are so bad they are good, this one was just bad.. nothing more....

Well, 10 minutes into it and I'm not sure I can tolerate the lead female's bitchiness. I wouldn't be able to get it up around her, either. If her direction was to be a reason to stop watching, she did an awesome job. I really, really hate her character. I will attempt to hang in there because I like to be fair and give a film a chance to improve. Maybe she will grow on me. Or not. But I will take your word for it that it gets better.

Signatures annoy me.

The acting was just horrible. It was pure torture to watch. This is coming from a guy who can watch a movie with Kirsten Stewart.

Acting in films like these are often hit or miss, and the acting in this isn't that bad next to some of them. Tiffany Shepis is always perfectly ok for her genre, and the others are UNmemorable enough to be overlooked. Nightmare Man is probably one of my favorite films that came out of the 8 Films to Die For alongside The Hamiltons. It's a fun film.

I rewatched it for the first time in years and I still find it pretty fun.

I'm kind of surprised there's so many "1" votes. But then there's less than 2000 votes, so I suspect some spamming on the numbers. But I also assume the majority of people that enjoy something like this aren't really voting/posting on IMDB. So there's room for doubt there.

The critic hole is also kind of down on this movie, so that's clearly influencing the people that actually listen to them. And since this isn't a big hit or even a wave maker, the cavalry probably hasn't come much to pick up it's score.

Not to say this movie should be "that high" or anything but just being as realistic as I can be, I'd expect movies like this wouldn't be in such a negative light if more people other than bored and nerdy people came here.

Now going out of looking at it as straight and narrow, I don't really see a problem with the film. It's simple and fun. I don't regret owning it and sure will watch it many more times and still enjoy it. Let the haters be, opinions are to accepted or rejected, not argued over.
