Budget of 1 million no way closer to 80 grand

Budget is closer to 80,000. I would be embarrassed to lie and say my budget was 1 million when the production value is this low. At least people know what to expect.

Thanks for playing but, WRONG!!! Snap!

The budget (which is NOT by the way posted by the production company) was not $80,000.

Why don't you post about things you actually know like loneliness, lack of people skills and lack of taste in film?

reply

WTF...how can you say the movie was made for 80,000. Jesus Christ! If they Spent 1 million on it, then the movie came out great...

This is the what a million dollars buys you are you? So Saw, Undead and to many others with a budget of a million and less are in league with this piece of crap. B.S.

Also it's funny that the only people who defend or say these movies from Asylum are any good are those who are employed by them mr. efwilliams80.
Idiots

Wow..I am not employed by them...You must be a genius...And yes saw is a *beep* awesome movie...But if you watch most movie in the general area of 1 million...Asylums are better than most of those.

The other poster is just a fan, not an employee. We have a policy amongst the Asylum higher ups to use our real names on these boards to directly interact with the fans.

Also, let me give you a little peak into the world of Hollywood. Studio films often lie to make their budgets LOWER as to impress viewers like yourself. "Wow, Superman Returns was $260 million and they made SAW for only $1 million, those guys are awesome." Low budget producers always inflate their budgets so the buyers don't underpay when they buy the rights for DVD, cable, or foreign markets. That's why real budgets are tightly kept secrets in Hollywood.

I said you were wrong about $80,000. I didn't say $1 million was right either. The truth is somewhere in between.

What does it matter anyway. You didn't like the movie. You didn't like the other Asylum films you saw, so stop renting them. Pick up a choice release from Full Moon or Lionsgate. But putting out all this negative mojo is just self-destructive. I'm really worried about you, man.

Leigh, I think it's awesome that someone like you would even bother to post here. I thought the film was OK, and it left a lot a holes . . . which in a way is good, because now I'm interested in learning more about Doyle's Lost World. I used to watch the TV Series from 1999, and your movie had a lot of the same characters . . . so again, I will now put Doyle on my list of Must Reads.
