Flaws to King of The Lost World

Everybody should give a movie at least star for effort.

Although I have never watched this movie what are the flaws to this movie?

What would you done better if you have made this movie on a $1 million budget?

Flaws? The main flaw was making this an R-rated movie. After just now watching it I realize that it could've worked, and been sold much better as a family-friendly giant ape film. It certainly didn't have the teeth to make it as a gritty R-rated adult adventure film.

I worked in a theatre in the 80's and I know parents dragged their kids (or vice versa) into all kinds of "R" films but I'm sure there's still an audience of parents that don't expose their kids to them too early. It could've been a modern day "Land That Time Forgot", which was a childhood favourite of mine.

Asylum should've recognized that fact and changed direction. Oh well. As for goofs, they were all fixable so that's why they irritated me! The expedition that sets out from the plane has a man with a necktie. He disappears, eaten, and no one notices or mentions he's gone!

The natives could've been explored some more, I guesses they were survivors of earlier white people stranded there by plane or boat?

Where did Lt. Challenger get the detonator he said was carried in the briefcase? Missing scene maybe?

Oh and don't stare at a nuclear explosion.

Yes there was very little ape or dinos. Some cool scorpions. The less dinos in the FX budget = less carnage which could've = a more family-friendly flick.
