About this film

It was such a great film, does anybody recommend any other Polish films or that of the same director?
Just thinking- does anyone think there was an 'all that glitters is not gold' theme in respect of the two sisters?

I watched this movie. I missed the first minutes, so I didnt in which country they were until the end.

About the sisters, I was concern how the youngest sister had a drinking problem, because of what I understood, all the cans she dropped in the boat were beer cans, and why at the beggining she was laughing so much.

I've seen lots of wonderful polish films by maestros like Kieslowski, Wajda or Zanussi. Also some films by Agnieszka Holland and the only polish film by Roman Polanski "Knife in the Water. However this was the 1st movie I've seen from Dorota Kedzierzawska.
I was gladly surprised by this little gem. The boy (Piotr Jagielski) is amazing. He displays convincingly all kind of emotions, from sadness to fear, love, tenderness, hate, sloth, etc. Great young actor!

I have no idea either on why Kuleczka used to drink beer at such young age. I meant, I know that sadly even younger kids are on drugs or/and alcohol, but those are mainly homeless kids unlike this girl whose fathers are obviously wealthy. Hence a most important question is... why nobody noticed it?

I am looking forward to see more works from Kedzierzawska, I have read that his previous film "Nothing" (Nic) it's really good as well.
