He couldn't call for back-up because he was the only cop working in his night shift. Resonable enough, some tiny remote towns only have one or two cops on at once. BUT, he could have radioed in for the State Police. How do you explain that one?

shareBut remember, the cop kept saying stuff about how the Mayhews never bothered anybody. He didn't really believe the guy but the guy kept insisting on going back so the cop, obviously expecting that is was a bunch of rubbish, went back just to make the guy happy.
