Being Pedantic

Is it just me, or is anyone else really disappointed that he doesn't look ANYTHING like Orson Welles? Maybe it's just obsession, but I really wanted Danny Huston to be made up like Orson and it would all look so good...

I mean, if you're going to make Orson Welles your main character, don't you want it to look a little like him?

It looks like a fairly good movie, but since this is supposedly the main hook, I just expected more from the people that made it. It's a less interesting movie without this.

I just watched the film, and while he may not look just like him, he sounds exactly like him, and the mannnerisms are right too!

A truly excellent performance, in a very enjoyable film.

No, not really.
You might be used to it but there's no written law about it.
He is not Orson Welles, therefore it should suffice that he plays Orson Welles.
People also complained about that Barbra Streissand movie in which she played a call girl, and they said that she didn't look at all like a call girl (and I agree) and therefore bla bla bla... I just don't see the necessity.
He is playing another person, just playing.
It's all fiction, so why don't we just accept the fact that he IS the character he plays and move past that?
And also, and more importantly, not everyone that watches the movie knows what Orson Welles looked like, and they enjoy the movie just as well.

Just my opinion, don't mean to offend anybody.

Bye.
