Shouldn't the flag in the poster be upside down? And I'm not trying to be disrespectful I mean in the context of the film.

No. Because it would be too obvious and there is too much censorship. In the last years, especially from 2008 to now, something changed in the movie scripts. The directors and screenwriters have more courage to say what they really think and there are more subtle scenes than ever. I am so glad. Unfortunately, the majority doesn't have eyes for the subtility.

One more thing about the flag. Flying a flag upside down can't be an international distress signal since not all flags have an upside down side.

Macedonian flag is one such case. Actually most flags are simetrical.

It is an international distress sign for the Stars and Stripes.

Actually the word's symmetrical and most flags are not.
