I saw this before and after the edit (the original did not have Tori)

I saw this before it was edited to include Tori Spelling at the premeire in Seattle.
Horrible, horrible ambiguous ending, no ACTUAL Cthulhu sightings, and too much angst.
This movie really should have taken a line from GOOD Lovecraftian films:
Save your money and rent one of these: In the Mouth of Madness, Cigarette Burns, Dagon, In the Lair of the White Worm, or Any of the Re-Animator films, even the newest one is good for a lol! -R

'Cause I ride like Kelly Bundy, Yo I keep that *beep* nasty~ (Spank Rock)

The movie was amazingly good but Tori, as usual, was awful. She was obviously added in to get the straight guys to stay awake.

The ending wasn't ambiguous at all. All the rest of the movies you list are terrible.

You are a *beep* idiot if you think In the Mouth of Madness or Dagon is terrible.

Meh, Cara Buono added more hotness to the movie than Tori did. :)
Tori was perfect for the "Innsmouth look," though.

the Lair of the White Worm isn't a Lovecraftian film/tale, well it wasn't written by him anyways. the original tale was written by Bram Stoker who wrote Dracula. the story was published in 1911, 6 years before HPL wrote his first story

of course it's possible that HPL could have read this story, which influenced his own writing, as it does contain certain troupes of his work.

Not having a go by the way :) those other movies you listed are awesome.
