What was the name of the disease?

The man had an enlarged spleen and his skin was sensitive and would turn blue in the mildest of temperatures...

What was the disease called? Air Date: 12/10/07, "Purple Puzzle."

Thanks!

It was low grade lymphoma which he was disgnosed as having 30 years ago. That's all I remember!

From I remember, he had been to Africa 30 years before and somehow got tape worms that went to his spleen. The worms than died forming a cystic which blocked the cancer cells from leaving the spleen, which caused it to enlarge. It than started to affect the way his blood was circulating (the spleen has something to do with filtering out blood). I'm pretty sure thats what it was. I hope this helps

The diagnosis for the blue skin was "cold agglutinin disease."

I think that diagnosis was still accurate in the end, but it was secondary to the cyst in his spleen.
