Ridiculous

I just watched the end of this programme and I still can't stop laughing at all the ridiculous lines and so called plot twists, this show was totally inane. What the hell did the astronaut have to do with it!! He was the only person in the world who was toxic to the bugs, and just happened to be on the original space mission that the aliens hitchhiked to Earth??
By the way, what's the idea that the bugs would be able to take over the world through controlling the Mayor's office of ( I presume it was) Los Angeles!
The most stupid part of the film was when the hero decided to sneak back into the Town Hall to elicit the help of Daryl Hannah's character, after they had already worked out that the "bad guys" were all copies of the original crew of the moon mission. Come on, if the rest of the crew had been taken over by the aliens, surely you would expect that she had as well!! And by the way, didn't the population of Los Angeles get a little bit suspicious that the crew of a famously failed space mission suddenly ended up as major public officials of Los Angeles, including the very high profile Police Commissioner!
When I first saw this programme listed in the TV Guide I checked out IMDB to see what it was about, and now I understand why there was no synopsis or reviews, because I am sure that Australia is the only dumping ground that would consider putting this programme to air ( let alone in prime time)

It was in prime time in Germany yesterday!

well... the only thing i see bad about this movie is that it's about 1/3 finished. i can think about at least 2 hours more of action, tying up loose ends.

Yeah, it got a bit rushed.

The only bad part of the movie for me was the part with the smoke. That it should work on aliens from space since it only works on insects on earth that produce honey because they eat them self sleepy.

As for Bill, maybe him being in space was one of the reasons he was immune? Who knows?

When it comes to the invasion they needed more "people" to take over the rest of the world.
