CONSPIRACY----THE BEATLES DIDN'T WRITE THEIR OWN MUSIC!

I once recorded in a studio in Toronto, Ontario where the sound engineer told the band I was in that he had seen a movie in school about the Beatles not writing their own music. He has mentioned that they were used to bring up British morale after World War 2 to help stop the spread of Communism. Has anyone else heard of this conspiracy theory?

For all the people who will say I am "just jealous" of their talents...your damn right I am.

Yes, I have heard this story as well. Of course, it's a bunch of rubbish. Yes, the Beatles sang or "covered" other people's songs once in a while (Leiber/Stoller, Chuck Berry). But the British government would hardly have wanted a group of four hard-rocking, pill-popping greasers managed by a Jewish homosexual to represent their anti-communist sentiments, don't you think?

reply

Sure you're not confusing them with the Monkees or the ARchies or whatever?

reply

No offence to the guy...but that is a dumb idea.

Why not use someone else? Someone less controversial?

reply

If it is true (which it isn't) who wrote their solo work?

It's worst than Paul is dead. what are the chances a look-a-like can have a songwriting and musical genius/talent has mccartney had before he suposedly died in the 60's. I dont even understand why people still can talk about it and believe it.

reply

No, the beatles really did steal songs. I wrote quite a few of them myself.

I belive this, I wrote "yesterday" and Paul McCartney had the bloody cheek to release it 6 years before I was born!!!
