near the end of the 1st season when they go to the world and become demon hunters/waiters there is a style of music that plays every once in a while
it's like a saxophone playing like a bluesy type thing and it reminds me of film noir, does anyone know what musical style that is called?

ALSO

does anyone know where i can get the music that plays on the dvd's (i have only seen region 4 and in English not sure of that changes around the world) and every now and then in the series which is like vocal work/Gregorian but with female voices.

Try "Gendou" - it's a site where you can download lots of anime songs/music.
I don't know about the saxophone/bluesy music (I remember it but I don't think Gendou has it) but the female vocals bit you're looking for is probably "A Song of Storm and Fire"
