Project Status

I found this on the project greenlight Australia website:

"If you joined Project Greenlight in its first Australian series, you’d know that the contest received over 1200 screenplay entries and Morgan O’Neill became the eventual winner. His compelling and powerful film, SOLO starring Colin Friels premieres at the Sydney Film Festival June 10th and will be screening in cinemas nationally from July 6. Released by Dendy Films."

So i guess that settles it. I saw a preview for the movie today and it looks really good. I was an extra and have met Morgan several times of the past few years. He went to my school but left before I arrived. He is a genuinely nice guy and very switched on. I can't speak highly enough of him and was stoked to see him win the directorship. Most of the cast I met were a lot of fun as well and seemed really passionate about what they were doing, as stressful as it must be. I just wish there were more people checking it out imdb. Oh well, cheers.
