The reason I liked Jeff Ltd. (and why you should too)

Compared to all the reality shows, serious crime murder dramas and airhead sitcoms, this one showed some actual intelligence. I think it threw Canadian viewers who weren't ready for such black comedy more in the vein of Curb Your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld than Corner Gas. Corner Gas was my first fave, then I started watching "Alice, I Think". When I finally caught Jeff Ltd after being bombarded by so many annoying ads for it, I actually dug it right away. I don't love his character at all, but the others putting up with his insane efforts quietly and watching him fall as he always does, this just gets me somehow. It reminds me a lot of Daffy and Porky in the old Duck Dodgers WB skits. The characters of Gavin and Liz and the firm's lawyer go along with his nut schemes because of his domineering personality. A bizarre concept, but it works. Smith & Smith Productions really hit a high note with History Bites, but for me Jeff Ltd. takes the cake.

I agree. I really thought season 2 started out really well. Especially that initial scene chasing the girl through the market and then finding out shes the daughter of his friend. Hilarious. Jeff really is a talented comedian, its just too bad his audience was Canadian, and its difficult for Canadian TV to reach popularity.

Why have you posted this exact same post twice on this board? You could have at least changed the wording...

Anyway "The thing I like about Jeff Ltd. (and you should too)" is that it is finally canceled and off my TV. It was painfully, painfully awful.
