book man is reading at the psychic

when the two sisters are at the psychic for the first time, there is a man sitting cross-legged in the corner of the room reading out a book in greek..we hear him in the background for he whole of the scene but only see him in the end..at some point i heard:
anamesa ta asteria..(in between the stars) but it's too quiet to hear the rest, does anybody know if this is a poem or a book + who the author is?
