Do you think he killed the guy in the office?

Anton barges into the business office and blows the guy away. The man (accountant) sitting in the chair says are you going to shoot me. Anton says "it depends...do you see me" or something close, then the scene ends.

Do you think he killed the guy? Was that scene in the book, if so, did he kill him?

reply

I don’t think he killed that guy no. Nobody would be stupid enough to say yes to that question.

I think he does kill him. Everyone else he only gives a chance by coin toss or they're just straight up murdered. The look on his face though suggested he was playing a game with him though

I agree that he definitely kills the accountant. The bigger question is why didnt he kill the sheriff when he was behind the door of the motel room?

reply

Exactly! I always wondered the same.

reply

Only thing I can think is he didnt want to bring the heat from law enforcement but it doesnt seem to fit with the psychotic nature of his character especially since he had already killed the other policeman.

Because Anton wasn't behind the door.

The scene more than likely just represents Bell's fear and what he envisions.

This has been discussed a lot back in the old IMDB days. Watch the scene again and see if you think Anton could fit behind that door when Bell pushes it open all the way.

Fun topic though.
