Most unrealistic and cliche film I've watched

Yup you heard it right!! Seriously this has to be one the of the most unrealistic film I've watched till date. People like to hate on superhero flicks but like praise this film? Seriously?

First the killing was so so cliched and full of pretentious elements I was so baffled how this won 4 oscars. Yes the it was a good thriller film with some good violence but that's about it. I mean you have a psychopath running around killing people after people and they act to make him look like a ghost. Also there was not even a slight development to leading of the death of Moss. You go through inch by inch of what he was doing through out the movie and not even show the ultimate climax of how he died? Terrible and extravagant !!
And the way Tommy Lee character narrates at the end was a very pretentious trick to make this film look great. Or else it just regular pop corn flick.

I'd rather appreciate comic book films such as Fantastic four and its fan than this manipulative garbage!!

You are the reason the IMDB message boards are ending.

It’s all his fault! 😤

reply

I agree this movie is overrated

reply

Yes, pretentious, boring garbage. No better than those comic books you mentioned, though.

reply

Do you like any of the Coen Brothers movies? They're mostly very unrealistic.

reply

I’m not particularly a fan of this film - I’d place it somewhere in the lower-middle of the Coens’ filmography - but it is neither unrealistic nor cliched.

reply

You gotta at least admit this is a lot better than Hail Ceasar and O Brother Where Art Thou. I think this is their masterpiece.

reply

Better than Hail Caesar but I marginally prefer O Brother to NCFOM.

I haven’t seen it in 13-14 years, however, and have always planned to give it another chance. I don’t remember much aside from the superb cinematography and a fine performance by Tommy Lee Jones.

reply

Whoosh!

reply

the book is better but is hard to read because the author decided to not use standard punctuation............

cause he's too cool for that.

the movie is OK.

I agree, so much to pick apart about this movie
People getting shot up all over the place, in the street,at motels, hotels, yet no police responding
How does the bad guy know what town Moss runs to,knows what room he’s hiding in while the tracker is hidden somewhere else, kills the 3 random guys in the next room, knows where in El Paso moss is to finish him off
Woody harrelson knows exactly where to go find the satchel, or what hospital and room in Mexico moss is in
So many unanswered questions other than everyone gets killed
