I was wondering if people that the film pays homage to Gulliver's Travels when Larry gets tied down just by the the little people just like Gulliver did.

I also remember a similar homage in a collection of work by Charles Addams, creator of the cartoons that inspired the TV shows and movies "The Addams Family".

Lunar landscape, Earth is visible in the sky, in the foreground is a close-up of a frightened-looking man in a space suit. He is being tied down (like Gulliver) by a lot of very tiny people.
