Good flick, but the couple were too weak.. *spoilers*

I'm not gonna lie that I was sitting on the edge of my seat throughout this flick and was entertained to say the least... but what in the blue hell is with the couple in this??

They arrive to look at a building in a neighborhood they've never been in before that looks more like a set out of The Warriors, most people wouldn't spend more than a few seconds in that building without thinking it was some kind of a joke, the wife doesn't even TRY to put up a fight against the landlady at any point(theres even a scene when the landlady is attempting to drag the perfectly capable woman up the stairs and she isn't even attempting any kind of struggle.), the husband hits said Landlady ONCE with a toaster and assumes she's DEAD, oh and did we forget the fact that this Landlady doesn't have a knife or gun or ANYTHING on her for the majority of the movie, hell, until it was reveiled that the big bald guy was her son she seemed as defenseless as the pregnant wife...

don't get me wrong.. I thought this was a cool/original concept and I would even qualify it as scary. The originality and tension made up for the utter stupidity/uselessness of the couple(they're lucky the actors who played them were convincing).. but c'mon.

anyways all my ranting aside I've give it 3/5.

There were some parts when you had to suspend disbelief... but overall I think they acted like most human beings would. I think she was in shock with the terror that was going on... and as for the guy, I'm thinking he suffered a concusion from the blows to the head... so yeah, it made sense to me that they acted that way.

I was thinking in the beginning that she was more humoring her than anything and thought that the situation wasnt as serious as it ended up being. What bothered me though was the situation in the kitchen where she basically *let* her chain her up. And it took FOREVER for the husband to make it to the kitchen...
