It says a lot about society....

...that a little boy wants forgiveness for a wrong he's committed and has to go to a complete stranger for it. We've substituted psychiatrists for God in this society, and they often just prescribe an antidepressant as a substitute for forgiveness. Of course, with a psychiatrist, there is no right or wrong, just "How do you feel about that?" It's small wonder that society has lost it's bearings. Society is looking to itself for answers and society is what's messed up.

What in the world are you talking about?

If you want forgiveness, you don't turn to a complete stranger that doesn't know anything about you. But if you've rejected God, you basically have to. The kid said he felt better, but he didn't say he felt as though he were forgiven.

As for the rest of it, if you don't understand it, I can't help you.

Oh, you're just a weirdo? I guess that explains it.

Good point. I was only thinking the other day that the message of Christianity isn’t about worshiping, but healing, mental and spiritual healing, and this atheist, materialistic society cannot provide that for broken people, so they turn to drugs and substance abuse.

reply

That's part of it, but actually it is about forgiveness.

reply

Forgiveness and healing.
