I think the sequences leading to the end are too long, and in the end everything is left to whatever you think.
what happened to Miguelito and his girl?
Some movies tend to leave open ends or coil so much that make things a bit shoddy.
Well I read the book a long time ago and I can sure tell that Miguelito dies. I don't remember what happens to the girl. I think it is never really said.
“I teach you to lie, cheat, and steal, and when I turn my back you wait in line?”
I have just finished the book and she never leaves the village, she never becomes a dancer, she marries some policeman who gives her three kids and a sad life...its quite a depressing but beautiful book.
