Most of this show is so fake.

It is pretty pathetic really. I've noticed things such as:

- In one of the Militant Black Guys sketches the person he is having a go at is actually Alex Zane.

- In a Neg sketch he runs into a store and tells everyone to get on the floor. When they show it in slow-mo you clearly see some of the worse actors laughing as they duck.

- The Neg sketch where he jumps on peoples backs, if done for real, could have gotten lots of lawsuits. If the people are supposedly strangers then he could easily jump onto somebody with a bad back.

- For that matter, most of Neg's sketches are illegal and there is no way they would get away with them for as long as they have.

- At the end of the show, when a winner is chosen they always are the person sitting right next to the audience. Coincidence? Pfft.

- With all the cameramen and cameras following the people doing these pranks there is no way that they could pull most pranks off, as it would be very obvious that the whole thing is being filmed and therefore a set-up.

- Mentioning cameras, some of the camera angles (in shops and so on) in some of the pranks would be impossible to pull off without setting the camera up beforehand, which would require permission/assistance from the shop owners etc, and yet in these pranks the joke is on the shop owner, so how does that work.

- Plus check out this thread for more.

Did it not say at some point that the people in Neg's sketches were set up by their friends beforehand?

Another member of the shop staff could have given permission for the camaras to be set up, for the prank to be played on a different shop worker/owner.
In one of the Militant Black Guys sketches the person he is having a go at is actually Alex Zane.

I've got no arguement about this but do you know which episode this is in? Just curious.
And for the person who mentioned that the guy in the introduction for the gay thing is in another advert or somthing, the introductions aren't meant to be real.

No sh!t?

Only idiots believe this show is not a set up.
It's entertainment...not a documentary.

What next, point out water is wet?

I've just seen one sketch thing for the first time this black guy was making everything the people said to him was rasist and i knew they were acting it was so blatantly obvious

reply

This is why the show isn't on Discovery Channel.

reply

I agree. I have also noticed numerous things that proves this show is fake; which is a shame, as some of the concepts are quite funny (as an initial idea).

ok the winner is not always near the audiance when he wins.. i saw one where hes running past the guys high fiving them but still yes alot of the show is FAKE except for like the dirtysanchez guys AKA "the pain men" they actualy do the stunts.. for real.. there the best on the show i reckon... but some things are like so obviously fake like randy camble stunts are like suppost to be fake lol

reply

some is believably real
like with the contestant in audience maybe at end of show alex could say " ahhh you have just been on a tv show etc balls of steel and you are welcome to come to next show recording"....

reply

Next you will be telling me that WWE is fixed and scripted?

reply

...And that Fox news is one sided rubbish with zero integrity with the likes of Geraldo Rivera and Hannity & Colmes on the payroll, puhleeze.

reply

not seen this one, can you list the episode?

- In a Neg sketch he runs into a store and tells everyone to get on the floor. When they show it in slow-mo you clearly see some of the worse actors laughing as they duck.

would you not find that funny. its clearly a joke.

- The Neg sketch where he jumps on peoples backs, if done for real, could have gotten lots of lawsuits. If the people are supposedly strangers then he could easily jump onto somebody with a bad back.

- For that matter, most of Neg's sketches are illegal and there is no way they would get away with them for as long as they have.

most of the jokes are not performed on ramdon people. they will have been set up by cast and crew members etc. like everyone says, its not on discovery.

- At the end of the show, when a winner is chosen they always are the person sitting right next to the audience. Coincidence? Pfft.

your looking too much into this, its not like the winner matters now is it.

- With all the cameramen and cameras following the people doing these pranks there is no way that they could pull most pranks off, as it would be very obvious that the whole thing is being filmed and therefore a set-up.

have you not seen world shut your mouth? trigger happy tv? or even the good old noel edmonds house party? hidden cameras can often be used. things can be filmed from distance.

in the case of the shops as someone else said, the shop owners or managers could be setting up the assistants. in the new series when neg steals peoples balls, someone in the teams or some someone in charge of the teams will know what is going on.

in trigger happy tv for example, a Christmas sketch where Santa steals from a shop. dom jolly explains in the commentary that the shop manager was aware what was happening, just not the security guard on duty or the shop assistants.

yes the show is rigged. most reality shows wouldn't work if they weren't. but its not pathetic in any way. it makes for good entertainment and enough of it is real to make it interesting.

YOU are really pathetic.

If the winner of the show happens to be the one nearest to the audience on nearly every show then it must be fake....Oh no, wait a minute, I've just remembered something, it's a TV show, they may have edited the program before it was broadcast. This means that they may have been able to tell the contestants who had won before the official announcement.

To suggest that the victims are acting because you are unconvinced by their performance, I ask you to ponder this. If a policeman approached you on the street and asked you a question about a crime that has just occurred, despite your complete innocence, do you not think that your face would turn red with guilt, even though you have nothing to feel guilty about. It may not seem obvious, but this is a genuine reaction exhibited by most people. When forced into a situation that your brain is not familiar with, your reactions can not always be relied upon to react in the way you would expect. To think that the reactions on this show are ALL fake, displays a complete ignorance of the workings of the human mind.

With regards to Neg's antics specifically, I would like to think that I, and most of the people I know that Neg would choose to be a target, would regard such an action as an unwanted nuisance and a childish act. But would any of us actually take legal action against him... Well what would be the point. If he was just a random nutter, then how would the police ever catch up with him. My brother is a policeman and he reckons it wouldn't be worth their time chasing it up. If it turned out to be a TV show prank, my friends and I would love the idea of being a part of it.

And what the hell is your problem about camera placement in the shops. If you actually watched the show, you would realise that in nearly every case of a prank that takes place in a shop, the victim is not the owner, or if they are, you could bet your bottom dollar that they got legal permission from a manager of some kind to place the cameras where they did.

I'm not saying that everything that I have written is accurate, but a little research, knowledge, and a few brain cells should tell you that your comment is based on nothing other than your own personal opinion. And it does my *beep* head in when people think that their personal opinion should be regarded as fact when there are other possibilities.

To jimmi92: I certainly care if it's fake. I stopped watching WWF many years ago when I discovered it was fake. I want to see stuff that's for real!

The only reason I persist with Balls of Steel is because some of them do like as if they're genuinely unaware they're being pranked on... although it's hit and miss.

Examples of ones that are genuine: Bunny Boiler in the health & beauty salon, Big Gay Following in film rehearsals, Scummy Mummy in the pub, Pain Men (real stars of the show!).

Ones which are either fake or you know contestants have cottoned on: Everything I've seen of Neg and the Knob Jockey, most of the Annoying Devil, Bunny Boiler in health & beauty salon (with the Indian guy).

So basically, I wish they'd get rid of Devil, Neg and Knob Jockey 'cos they're rubbish. When they don't work or look fake, they don't make me laugh and stains the quality of the show.

reply

if you get rid of Devil, Neg and Knob Jockey then the show basically will be rubbish as they are the best.
who cares if its not real, its still funny, and really, if it bothers you so much, why don't you stop watching it and get a life instead of slagging it off on here!
personally, I think the reason you don't find it funny is because you don't actually have a sense of humor.

reply

I have stopped watching it. I only tune in now if I know beforeheand whether Bunny Boiler or the Pain Men are gonna be on. The rest are either rubbish or fake.

reply

the ones they need to keep are alex zane, militant black guy, annoying devil, neg, the bastard in black, the pain men, olivia lee and get rid of bunny broiler, scummy mummy and knob jockey
