Why is this less than 40 minutes?

I understand how it being a short can work and get the writer/director and crew attention for bigger projects later, but the full play is a blast.

Secondly, I wanted to do this is a full-length musical, preferably for HBO/Showtime/Disney in the vein of "Reefer Madness" and "High School Musical." OH well...
