holy crap, i thought Mikal and Desiree were the same actress the whole t

through the entire film i thought it was the same girl with a black wig and makeup! am i the only dumbass that thought that?

when I first saw the movie, I thought Mikal WAS Desiree. the whole time, I was like, "When is he going to figure it out?" lol but nope. they look so much alike though.

Wow, just wow. Aside from the fact that they're both women, I don't see the slightest resemblance. In fact, they appear to contrast each other. One is dark and exotic, the other fair and sort of girl-next-door....

LMFAO :-) I was the same way with that gangster movie from, like, 2008 with Leonardo DiCaprio and the character based on Whitey Bulger. My SO EX-bf insisted on sitting in the front row and I spent the whole movie wondering why the guy was spying for both sides!!

I knew they were two different people- because I've seen each actress in different movies.

Well, I read the plot before I watch the movie (I have the unfortunate habit of doing that sometimes), so I knew better.

But now that you mention it, they are only on screen at the same time once in the movie, so it is hard to make direct comparisons, and now that I think about it I guess they look enough alike to be thought of as the same person.

When M very first got shown I thought she was the D character, but then I saw she was someone else. And recognized her from Rules of Attraction. It was the hair. Too similar.

I thought she had done herself up to hide the fact from Zia that she was Desiree, but yes I did think they were the same girl. Similar looking.

I thought the exact same thing! Until I saw them both on the same screen when they meet at that religious camp.
