I watched this out of morbid curiosity

I watched the whole thing, because I'm not a quitter and it was 3 in the morning. The producers of these movies are like a dog with a bone. they need to let the concept go already because they absolutely trashed it. the first movie was ok, i guess, for a rainy afternoon type viewing that you couldn't take too seriously or scratch beneath the surface of due to horrible inaccuracies.

and then came this sequel, they should have taken the hint when the original cast didn't want to be in it, but they kept going, and wrote the most cheesy shallow script about 2 girls fighting over a boy and doing mean catty things to each other.
the dialogue was unnatural and if I was Danish i would be offended at how it portrayed Denmark with ridiculous inaccuracy.

in 2004 there was a real Danish Royal Wedding, the Crown Prince even married a commoner, so what a perfect event for the writers to have researched! However, even with a current case study they could have used as research it seems that to the writers Denmark is a pretend country that they can portray anyway they want. I'm not saying this in a particularly angry way, just in awe of how stupid the whole thing was.

"You're taking it too seriously" you might say, and well, I tried not to, I tried to just have an enjoyable time watching a light movie, but it was bad to the point of distraction. There are people on this board who blame Luke Mably for a lacklustre performance that brought the whole movie down... nope, sure he wasn't into it, fine, but the real killer was everyone elses acting, the attempts at the British accents by some of the non British cast members, everyone apparently just gave up on even trying to sound Danish in this film.

on a way more shallow note, the hairstyles and the clothes were downright horrendous and the wedding dresses were a massive no from me.

Basically as i said in the subject line, I watched this out of morbid curiosity as one of the movie channels are running a Prince & Me marathon today. I watched the 3rd film a few years ago mostly out of boredom and have nothing good to say about it.

Edit: oh forgot to mention one of the things that bothered me the most, the bloody titles, you cant call someone the crown princess or crown queen before they have even married the prince, the writers are just throwing out ridiculous titles wherever they want, i don't even think half of what they said were real titles!
