Do we know anything about a theatrical release? Because that's what I'm really interested in. I really wanna see it in Theatre again.
shareMan, I came on here hoping this was coming to dvd and its just now getting distribution? Oh well, guess I'll see it in 2010 when the whole Johnny Depp pirate idea is dead.
shareSo question... WHy hasn't anything happened ith this movie if it got distribution? I heard the news about weinstein picking up this film, but the weinstein website has no pirate movies even listed. The official potgsl site hasn't been updated for months, and the myspace page hasn't either. Is this movie happening or not?
EVEN WORSE is that i am one of the people who gave them money as a fan club producer and i am in one of the higher up categories and part of it was they would send you a DVD copy of it when it comes out (mind you this was more than a year ago and it was listed for DVD release with them of oct-nov 2007) and nothing still. Seems that it may never come! Which is really disapointing because it is such a great movie that so many people would love if they could just release the damn thing!
shareI joined the fan club too and I wrote and got an email reply a few weeks ago that said the DVD would be out by September.
I've seen POGSL twice and agree. It's sad that a truly unique and funny movie like this has taken so long be released, and instead we get a piece of crap thrown at us like the recent Superhero Movie.
