well 9 out of 10 movies with dogs end with the dogs dieing so that the kiddies learn a life lesson.

But this one doesent have that feel looking at the previews.

Unlike "MY Dog Skip" which i watched in the theater for my fifth birthday. Me and all my friends started crying

No the dog does not die. Four Irish Terriers were trained for this movie. They are very real not fake dogs.

sidenote, all 4 dogs used to make this movie were named after characters from Lord of the Rings. Thought that was pretty funny when looking at the credits.
