They should make it a movie!

I just finished this game and I can say that the scenario and the plot was so awesome! It will be a loss for the cinema if they don't make a film

reply

NO, No, NO, NO, NO!
Why must everything be made into a film????????????
Everybody knows thet when a computer game gets turned into a film, it's very bad news. Not a good idea at all.>:(

reply

it already is like a film so there is no need to turn it into a film

reply

Exactly!:)

i just want a sequel. well, not so much a continuation of the story line, but a different story with a similar idea behind it. if they tried to continue the story it would just seem as awkward as the sex scenes.

Now listen up, you primitive screwheads. See this? This... is my BOOMSTICK!!!

reply

You just don't f u c k in g get it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NO FILM! NO SEQUEL! just leave Fahrenheit the way it is. as a gereat game.

Giving the fact that Fahrenheit was made like a film, evident in the writing and dialog, there is really no need for a film. All a film can do is take 15 Hours of a gripping interactive film (because thats essentially what Fahrenheit is) condensed into an hour and thirty minutes viewing. Now as good as the plot was of Fahrenheit do you really think it can be giving justice in an hour and a half?

Interactive movies work brilliantly at delivering just that, mainly because games are more immersing than films are due to the direct interaction.

If you are going to make a movie out of any computer game franchise do it about something that can be expanded on (i.e Space Invaders, Pac Man) and leave the already epic like values of games....sorry Interactive Movies such as Fahrenheit where they belong.

I agree that Fahrenheit IS an amazing game, but it is NOT 15 hours long. I completed it in 7:24 mins the first time I played it (but I did skip the bit in the library)

Well I guess you are all from europe cause here in the states we call it Indigo Prophecy. But either ways I agree that it should not be made into a film it is already a movie you just have the chance to do what everyone wish they could do and that is make the movie go your way. Indigo is one of the best games I have played and I hope that they do not make a sequel to this.

A sequel video game wouldn't be bad. It had that kind of an ending. It doesn't need a movie though.

I read the script, don't bother to contradict me.

I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of this game and the whole time I played I was thinking jesus christ this would make a GREAT movie if it were made by the right person (if Uwe Boll came near this I am sure a large crowd of amateur hitmen will arise). When I saw Lucas I thought that Christian Bale would be a good person to play him. I generally not like it when games are put into movies but I REALLY REALLY want this to be made into a movie, I am (in a good way) unsatisfied with this game, I think it is because I want a movie and if it is released I will be fully satisfied. But christ this game rules.

Fine, if everyone disavows a sequel, a movie, or anything like that...

Than make another video game just like it. I'd much more prefer another script with more tight graphics in the same atmosphere as the original, if not different, and have the exact same scriptwriters do something that good again.

This game is a masterpiece and very original. I haven't played a game this good in a long time, seriously.

Excluding replays of Metal Gear Solid 3, but other than that, IP needs some more coverage from this team and the writers.

this game already has a sort of movie although not directly based but if you play the game the scenario is almost identical to the MATRIX

reply

I think a sequel would be great. Doesn't have to include the same characters (even though I got used to them alot) But at least the same AMAZING game play with more powerful graphics!
Man this is one of the best games I ever played if not THE best!

reply

a movie wouldnt do it justice. if it must be done a tv series would be better, cause there is so much story to tell

reply

i dont think they should make a sequel, not really much to go on, but i think they should make a prequel or a game of the same type (genre)

I'd like to see Fahrenheit be made into a movie.
I don't see what's so bad about that.

Well it's too much like a film already. My question is, why does anyone want to turn it into a film?

"I wished Her back but the dead adored Her, Even wild winds sang in chora for Her"

reply

Well I want to see it made into a movie because I loved the game, and want to see it made into a live action film.

But wht's the point when it's already so much like a film. Besides, when computer games get turned into films they always suck.

"I wished Her back but the dead adored Her, Even wild winds sang in chora for Her"

reply

Yeah I know that but this game already has a very well written script so I think that it would make a good movie.

If they ever did make a movie out of Fahrenheit, I would hope to god another writer would come on board and clean up the last third of it. The game was so incredible until that last part...kinda ruins it.

What the hell man?!
Don't give them any dumb ideas..I mean, make a movie? You really want to see this work of game-art, being butchered on the big screen? Please..it should stay exactly what it is; a priceless thriller that every gamer, adult enough to appreciate it, should experience. Because accept for maybe Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (albeit anime), I have yet to see a good game-movie adaptation, and that's because it's just not possible to make one. No movie will ever get your heart pounding the way it did when you first played through this game, because as a part of a movie audience, you have zero influence over the characters or how the story progresses and concludes.

Take Silent Hill for example..Remember? The foggy streets, a defenseless woman with no kind of weapon whatsoever; just nerves of steel, and a busted radio that gives out strange signals when even stranger creatures are nearby..scared the crap out of me. I mean, there were times during playing that I even turned on the light, before calming down and turning it back off again. No movie could ever make an expierence so intense, and when it eventually came out, it unsuprisingly didn't even come close to the game.

And don't even get me started on all those other adaptation titles; Mortal Kombat, Doom, Final Fantasy: The spirits within, Hitman etc., here I'll concede that Doom was as good as it could be, but most of them are simply a disgrace to the game(s) they were based on.

No, Hollywood should keep their sticky hands off this little gem. I'm pretty sure they'll try it with Heavy Rain though..Quantic Dreams' current project..but if that's going to be as good as I think it'll be, I'd love to see them try and fall flat on their faces again.
