I'm playing the pc version, and I skipped the part where the female cop couldn't breathe in the basement (I made Tyler do it). Now I'm stuck in the asylum, and I STILL don't know how to breathe! Can someone give me detailed directions like, "Hold the left button for 2 seconds, then the right." And then maybe how to get past that first inmate? I've tried it with a walkthrough and I can't seem to do it. Help!

just read what the game says for you to do...than do it.
not that hard. if its going towards the L side of the meter, than hit the right button. vice versa

I actually just kept checking it (pressing no buttons) but if it reached really far to one side I pressed L1, R1, L1, R1 really rapidly until it reached just past the middle mark... Needless to say I did still die a few times trying. I think it's really just hit & miss

Theres a game called 'Haunting Ground' thats an adventure game, the twist is that you have to run away/hide from danger or later in the game you train a dog that you can control... When the character gets scared/stressed the screen darkens and shakes and it's harder to get away. I found it too hard though. Broken Sword is the ultimate though.

I DEFINATELY recommend Broken Sword if you haven't heard of it! They're on ps1 & ps2. Very stylish adventure game with plenty of comedy thrown in
