The Law Of Attraction.

SPOILERS.

As a Christian i don't believe in the "New Thought" version of "The Law Of Attraction", but i believe that there are certain aspects of The Law Of Attraction that applies to real life, example when you put out negativity, negativity will always come back to you, when you put out positivity, positivity will return to you, however that isn't always the case because a person can be positive and still get negative results. I recommend watching the late "John Paul Jackson" videos on youtube, he can explain the REAL Law Of Attraction.

Now this movie is fantastic and it depicts what could happen when you have any type of attitude whether it's positive or negative. "Erica" was angry and she continuously ran into negative situations, she had a negative mindset and angry and negative people were subconsciously attracted to her (not sexually) anger attracts anger, Erica was angry so she attracted angry people to her. I'm not saying all the incidents (post-the attack and murder of her boyfriend) were her fault, everyone's responsible for their own actions, but she could have got out of some of those situations (example the incident with the stereotyped thugs on the train - when everyone else got off of the train she could have left with them, hence avoiding the confrontation with the thugs). Erica was walking the streets at night (i'm from London England, iv'e never been to New York, but i presume it's dangerous to be walking the streets of NY alone at night) i know it was for her work, but she could have done that during the day at the weekends or early in the mornings before going to work, Erica went into the horrible situation with that cab driver and the girl because she was outside at night (this is what i'm saying is that some things could have been avoided in Erica's life) nothing like those incidents happened to her before, it all happened after the attack and loss of her boyfriend, again i'm not blaming the incidences on her, but some things that happened she WAS to blame (example going to kill that guy and him falling from the rooftop as a result).

Bottom line, Erica would have avoided those bad people throughout the movie if she'd have got counselling or something and sorted out her anger.

As an animal lover and as a dog owner, i'm glad she got her German Shepherd puppy back at the end of the film, i dislike it when animals are in movies that involve negative situations, but i understand why the dog was needed, Erica and the boyfriend would not have gone into that tunnel had they not thrown the ball for the dog to fetch, if they didn't have a dog it's still likely that they would have gone for a walk in the park, but they would have no need to go into the tunnel.

Erica had the chance to press charges and she could still have gotten her dog back due to getting the police to search the guy's home. But Erica was all about rage and it wasn't just about the attackers, she played vigilante which is still being a criminal, she lowered herself to her attackers' level, she let them control her life.
