Suffered the same fate as 'Trick 'R Treat'

delayed 4 times to go theatrical til the studio decided to "give up" and release it straight to DVD with little fanfare...

I know Amusement isn't the best flick ever, but I found it more entertaining then 50% of the theatrical "horror" being released by the major sutdios the last 5-6 years (Trick R' Treat better then 90%).

I seriously think all the studios FEAR going head-to-head with the latest Saw sequel come Fall...such a stupid mindset!

The hell? did you just say this movie is better than Trick R Treat?... what are you the most horrible movie critic ever made?

Trick R Treat got 6.9 on IMDB, was actually higher but soo many retards gave too much negativity.

Trick R Treat got 85 PERCENT ON ROTTEN TOMATOES!!

Hunger Games got 85 along with Trick R Treat.

So in other words? yeah this movie is way better than Amusement. Why?.. like the other guy said it's not retarded unlike this movie.

If you like movies only on the basis that they are well-received by critics, websites, and the masses, then you obviously have no idea how to think for yourself. Movies are a subjective experience--in which quality is determined by the OPINION of the viewer. You're no better than the drones who read a book simply because Oprah tells them to.

I just watched this movie and Trick r Treat back to back and Trick r Treat is better but neither I wouldnt consider great. Trick r Treat has much better visuals. I dont know why people think this has good visuals its all dark and dingy and very ugly while Trick or Treat is eye poppingly beautiful and very orangey.

yeah, I was also very entertained by this great film. it was so, so good. it's surprising to think about; a straight to video horror film which is as great as this film is. I mean the whole film was entertaining to me, I was never bored at all. and I loved most of it! it felt so fresh, original, and modern, and unique. It has such a different feel to it also, I've never watched a horror film which has a similar feel to it. didn't you notice the original feel it has? yeah theater horror movies almost always suck. I think that with horror movies you are just as likely to watch a good horror movie when you watch a straight to video horror movie as if you watched a theater horror movie which is interesting to me. it's the only genre which has this. I loved Amusement. didn't you? what would you give it on a scale from 1-10?
