Series 1 Finale (Spoilers)

I just finished the final episode of series 1, and I'm overwhelmed at the brilliant writing and acting. Davina having an affair with Greg -- I sure didn't see that one coming. And the parallels between Al continuously trying to retrieve something that was taken (the computers and briefcases that were stolen throughout the episode) and his trying to get Davina back...

The scene that struck me the most was when Orlando comes to visit his father, and after Al reminisces about the day he and Davina bought the young Orlando a bicycle, Orlando breaks down sobbing. Orlando hadn't seemed to really like or be close to his father until then, and I could relate to the heartbreak of seeing your family dissolve as an adult. I also liked the scene with Davina and her sister in the kitchen, where the sister expresses her frustration at not being the one "chosen" by Greg.

Excellent show -- I can't wait to receive the DVD for series 2! A big thank you to "Entertainment Weekly" magazine; I'm American and had never heard of this show until they had a write-up about it a few weeks ago (they gave it an A or A-).
