What a piece of **** this show is.

I know a show is bad when in the middle of it, I find myself turning to the local PBS station to watch "Sewing with Nancy" -- and I find *that* show more interesting.

How the mighty have fallen. I loved those old classic Warner Brothers cartoons. I even loved what Warner Bros. was doing 10-15 years ago, with shows like "Tiny Toon Adventures," "Animaniacs," and "Batman: The Animated Series." Those shows had good writing, good animation, and interesting characters.

But "Loonatics Unleashed" is a perfect example of the awful "Pokemon-style" animation that gluts the market today. The characters are cardboard cut-outs based on better, more-rounded characters. The stories are non-existant, the action is boring, and the animation itself is second-rate Hanna Barbera (and Hanna Barbera was third-rate to begin with).

Mel Blanc, Friz Freling, and Chuck Jones would throw up if they saw this show. I can barely keep my lunch down when *I* look at it.

Oh? Is that so? Then don't even bother to watch it then. If you were to be a Warner Brother yourself and if I complain and you stopped your work and can't get any money, how would you feel? Those Warner Brothers spend a lot of days or even months to create Loonatics Unleashed which I never even bother to complain and because of such comments like yours, they are probably upset but they had to get over it. Just think about it.

This is the stupidest argument for mediocrity in animation that I've ever read. "They should keep this show going because otherwise the animators will be out of work." That's like saying we should allow telemarketers to call us up and bug us with sales calls in order to keep them employed.

The show is bad. (I notice you didn't actually dispute this fact in your "argument.") If the animators on the show had any self-respect, they would quit and form their own company to produce better animated shows than "Loonatics Unleashed."

You seem to confuse "fact" with "opinion", Rob. A person's liking to a show really depends on their 'tastes' in television, the only thing close to "facts" we can conclude here is that of what the majority of other people have to say in the matter. Looking at other websites....

....it would seem that a good number of people actually like the show, which explains why the Loonatics have made it to a 2nd season and still in production. You can question the 'tastes' and opinions of these individuals all you like, but no matter how agrivated you get, the majority of audiences around the world seem to have spoken and made up their minds.

If the animators on the show had any self-respect, they would quit and form their own company to produce better animated shows than "Loonatics Unleashed."

And what exactly is disrupting their "self-respect", the Loonatics show? Why should they even quit when they're making a show that everyone's actually watching? You're not the only member in the whole worldwide audience, so do please stop acting like one.

the animation is done over seas. There are no more tv animators existant in the United States, for the exception of South Park.

I agree. Although it seems like nearly every LT lover (ones that are LU haters) likes to stab us fans (-gack-), we can't blame them. The show, I'll admit(and I hate to admit it), needs some work. And I suppose they're still mad about the old versions of the Loonatics, the 'extreme' ones.

I know a few used-to-be-haters who gave Loonatics Unleashed a chance - and they liked it! I just wish the rest of the haters were like that too.

Basically, I think this show is an experimanet that failed. Nice try, in the second season, as far as bringing back a few old characters as villians but: it just doesn't work. There's no room, it seems, for any of the humor that attracted all of us to the original characters.
These characters, like so many characters of today (both live and animated), are so full of themselves that it makes me sick! The original boys of Termite Terrace are squirming in their graves.

I can somewhat agree that the show is not very funny, I mean nothing like the old Looney Tunes cartoons. But it's got action, done well, so that's what I like about this series.

Keyblade... You're hilarious. The fact that you threaten people with the possibility that you might go on another caps-infested blathering rant just makes it funnier. Just try not to get an aneurysm or anything.

To keep things on topic, I've never seen the show, and I don't intend to. Even ignoring the whole "desecration of the sacred Looney Tunes" thing, the whole show just doesn't appeal to me.
