Best Turkish Movie Ever...

I'm 15 years old and not a fan of any Turkish movies! My parents literally MADE me watch this... and i was so thankful! It made me cry, i couldn't believe it.

This is definately by far the greatest Turkish movie ever made. I hope this director keeps coming up with these kind of movies.

I wish it could be translated to English and shown to the outside world. But i highly doubt that it will have the same feeling in English. I feel like it means to Turks more then it will to anyone.

Everyone, any ages should definately watch this amazing movie.

My dad even cried. That's saying something.

I would not call this the best Turkish movie ever, however I would call it a influential one, as I can relate to this in a lot of ways.
If I were to list the best Turkish films, it would rank high up on the list.

cagan irmak has the potential to be one of the greatest directors of turkey in very near future.. all of his works prove me .. and this film is also extremly touching and quite well-done example of his potential..

but it s not the greatest one imho.. there are better ( a bit) movies such as eskiya, zügürt aga , ask filmlerinin unutulmaz yonetmeni and of course muhsin bey.. so there are a lot of legendary turkish movies so let s not jump into the newest one.. i guess cagan irmak will be one of the most succesful turkish director if he keeps his career going in this good way..

I hope cagan irmak's next film will be as great as this one.

I'm 16 and I didn't really want to watch it, so I was busy drawing while I watched, but then half an hour after the start I put everything down and began to cry as I watched it. Actually I cried at he very the very start aswell. (If you've seen the film you'll know why).

I wouldn't say its the best Turkish film but it is one of the best I've ever seen.

Yes, I cried too, although i'm not such a person who can cry easilly. I watched the movie with English subtitles but it didn't cut the emotional link toward its the notion inspite that the English or any language could not convey the full pack of feelings and genuinity of this work. However, I will translate Babam Ve Oglum to Arabic which is near to the warm feelings of Turkish language.
