does any one know what this movie is going to be like

It's a historical action movie, about Russian (Peter I, The Great) - Sweden war (Karl), at the beginning of 17xx years.
Two Frences, punised for dueling were sent to this war, 1 of them on Swedish and another on Russian side...

This movie really hot!

Yeah, it's way not bad, but considering a large amount of historical mistakes, it can hardly be called a 'historical' movie.

it take a number of liberties, true, but so have any number of american historical movies. see mel gibson in the patriot.
i really enjoyed it, personally. russian soldier and french guy fall in together and become fast friends despite not understanding each other. it was a fun dynamic.

As far as I know there was no war with Poland during Peter the Great, therefore it is a bad historical mistake and not what you call 'liberties'.

I have not seen the movie, but the Great Northern war lasted for 21 years and Karl XII spent six years fighting in Poland untill he had replaced Augustus II (king of Poland) with Stanislaw Leszczynski.

I meant that Peter The Great was not in war with Poland as suggested in the movie.

He did get involved later to, return the Saxons to power and remove Swedish influence.

Well, the movie stated that the Zoro girl was taking a revenge on him for invading her homeland, which as suggested was BEFORE the fight with the Swedes in Russia. So, clearly a mistake.
