aspect ratio on DVD?

Okay I have just watched this disc and kind of confused. Info at places like amazon say its 1:33 (square) but when I played it on my player the normal WS setting is the one the movie seems to want. The 4 settings my TV has are Panorama(stretch)Cinima(zoomed, Regular (WS and Normal which is 4x3. Does anyone else have the DVD and if so does it say something diff as to aspect?
