Canadian 'Saw'ripoff...

there probably was not enough here for a feature length movie. The Writer/Director should have pitched this as a mini-series. Great soundtrack except for the cheesy song during the end credits. It seemed like a bit of a Saw ripoff in my mind. However, the acting is good and the directing seems professionally done. Not enough of a story to maintain an hour and a half.

I agree this should have been a mini-series. That'd allow for better development of the supporting and main cast, not to mention showcase the 'rules' of the demon better and make us a little more afraid that this could happen in real life at any time. Sinners beware!

Though I have to argue against you suggesting it's Saw-like. The similarities end at the "play a game if you want to live" deal. Even then, the games are hardly at the Saw-level of "you have sixty seconds to rip a key out of a living man's chest to unlock the bear trap around your head," they're a simple game of poker or bingo ... musical chairs.

Furthermore, Jigsaw is testing people who he feels are wasting their life and hoping they'll survive to appreciate it more; the spirit in this one seems more interested in screwing with you and having fun ... making you believe there's a legitimate one-in-five chance you'll get out unscathed before your inevitable death/punishment.
